There’s a bit of a wait for this one as there is no match on Sat 19th Sep due to the scheduled game against Warrington Rylands being postponed because of their FA Cup involvement.

Did we not lose to them in the FA cup last year/ year before when they were in a lower league than us?
Also Harvey Kirby Moore is there so he’s bound to score against us 🤦♂️

We lost to them in the FA Cup four years ago on penalties after drawing 1-1 and 3-3.

Anstey Nomads were promoted to the Southern league Premier Central last season after promotion as Champions from the NPL Midlands Division with 92 points from 42 matches and only six defeats. Incredibly they finished above Carlton who led them by 15 points at one point in the season.
They have started well at Step 3 : P7, W4, D2, L1. F13, A7, Pts 14

After winning our first two games the enormity of our task has become clear with just one point gleened from the next seven matches . Steps have been taken to improve the team but improvement isn’t instant, it takes time. Meanwhile we have to do our best. The free Saturday on the 19th gives us some time for the players to get know each other and we then have the FA Trophy game which should take some pressure off our league survival ambitions. Of course we want to do well in the Trophy but it’s a "free” game where the players aren’t under the continual stress of needing points.
I think the home defeat to Quorn made it clear that the team wasn't quite up to the required standard. It’s still early in the season so there’s plenty of time to recover but we need to see some signs of improvement against Anstey who are a very good side.
Last season we got through two rounds of the FA Trophy beating Evesham and St Ives before losing to Curzon Ashton.
