Rambottom are playing in blue shirts and blue shorts. Ilkeston are in red and blue striped  shirts and white shorts. Both teams are warming up and it's 15 minutes to kickoff.

Free kick to Rammy just outside area. Rammy forward just fails to get his head on it. Goddard tries to put Atkinson through but it's cut out. 5 minutes gone.

First chance to Rammy but they mess it up. Shaw wins Ilkeston's first corner. Decent chance for Ramsbottom but shot drifts wide on 18 minutes. Great cross by Print is just too high for Rose. 21 minutes gone and it's still scoreless.

Hill forced to save. Ilkeston go very close!  Rose's shot is turned onto crossbar by keeper and ball is scrambled away. Rammy are now having  a good spell and forcing Ilkeston back. 35 gone still no score.

Another goal for Rammy on 44 minutes  2-0.

Second half is underway

Ilkeston are struggling to create an opening. Dexter replaced by Roy Lee. Third goal for Rammy as lino keeps his flag down. Wilkins after 64 minutes . He looked offside  but goal stands. 0-3  This is ridiculous Rammy score again 4-0 on 66 minutes.

Thornberry commits another risky foul but again escapes booking.  Five minutes left

This was certainly not Ilkeston's finest hour as they succumbed to the leagues bottom club. In their defence the pitch was really bumpy causing the ball to bobble as it rolled along the surface which hindered Ilkeston's passing game. It could have been a different outcome had Luis Rose's shot gone in instead of hitting the bar at 0-0, but that was one of only a few opportunities that Ilkeston managed to create. On the other hand, Ramsbottom took two chances just before half time and then seized control of the game. The second half saw Rammy make chance after chance as they oozed confidence and  Ilkeston just couldn't find a way back into the game. Full marks to the relegated Ramsbottom team for their performance and best wishes for next season.
