Ilkeston have no match this Saturday 9th Feb. but our Supporters Group are running a bus to Shepshed for their match against our biggest promotion rivals, Sporting Khalsa. If you would like to travel on the bus its £10 Adults and £5 Children. Bus leaves NMG at 12.15. Please ring Lynda, 07934 509021 to book your seat.

Ilkeston and Shepshed supporters have a good relationship and we should receive a warm welcome. The Shepshed supporters have travelled to give Ilkeston support in the past so this is our chance to return the favour.

For those who are unable to travel there will be live updates here on Whiteball direct from the ground. Kick off is 3pm.

I would be lying if I said that pitch looks good but the Shepshed staff have done really well to get the game on.

Just under an hour before kickoff, the good news is that it's bright sunshine, dry and windy here at the Dovecote. It's going to be heavy going but at least it's on. There were about 30 on the Supporters coach and quite a few are travelling from Ilkeston by car.

Ilkeston's management team are well represented at this afternoon game.
It's almost kickoff time and it's still sunny and dry. The teams are now out. Shepshed are in black and white striped shirts and back shorts. Sporting Khalsa are in Yellow and blue striped shirts and blue shorts.

Arnold has to race out to clear. Shepshed fans are chanting "What's it like to see some mud". Free kick to Shepshed on edge of area, Keeper grabs under the bar. Good play by Armstrong for Khalsa. Big chance for Khalsa'a Kinch but he can't reach with his head. Khalsa are going down the slope and are on top. 0-0 7 minutes

Mis-kick by Miles almost gifts Shepshed a second goal. Shepshed guilty of two bad challenges in quick succession and the second one gets a yellow card. Now Miles gets a yellow. It's getting lively. 1-0 18 minutes

Chance for Khalsa but too many passes instead of having a go. Opportunity for Melbourne (Shepshed) but he fires over. Acott gets red card for an "off the gound" tackle. Shepshed down to ten men. The crowd don't like it but decision was correct in my opinion. 1-0 25 minutes

Melbourne (shepshed) ploughs through the mud and fires wide but It's Khalsa on top. Yellow for Meese (khalsa). Brilliant play by Mwanyongo (Shepshed) beats two players and his shot is only just wide. still 1-0 57 minutes

Mwanyongo tripped just outside area. Shepshed doing better now. Good attack by Khalsa but Shepshed defend well. Khalsa are looking the better side right now but can't find a way through. 1-0 68 minutes
