Buxton go top tonight after a good 2-1 win against fancied Workington, The big game between Blyth and Ashton finished 3-3 in front of 562 fans. Matlock recovered from being one down to win 3-1 with Michael Williams scoring their second goal. Whitby continued their fine start with a 1-0 win at Warrington. Frickley lost again and occupy bottom spot with no points.

Skelmersdale v Coalville was held up after an injury to Coalville's Alex Troke. There was a long delay waiting for an ambulance with the player still on the pitch.
