Ex Robin Paul Hurst has finally taken his Grimsby Town team back to the Football League after they defeated Forest Green 3-1. Hurst was manager of Ilkeston Town when they were promoted to the National League North. He was surprisingly dispensed with in favour of Kevin Wilson who had been expected to take charge when David Holdsworth took charge a year before. Hurst was then recruited by Boston United with his assistant Rob Scott. They were then lured to Grimsby Town but their partnership was split after Scott was involved in an unfortunate verbal altercation with fans. Unbeknown to Scott another fan was filming the conversation!
