More new players

Mark Clifford has signed two more players to strengthen the squad and two good ones by the sound of it.

When Dick Durrant says:
"Racchi is class. Seen him stand out at Step 2 when with FC United. Young Lambert is highly rated and very lively and will add pace to our forward line.  Good work by the club "

That's good enough for me.

Re: More new players

Only 11 months ago Kole Lambert was signed by Norwich City.  This could be the new Elliott Reeves.

31 January 2019  Norwich City are delighted to announce the signing of promising young striker Kole Lambert from Northern Premier Division side Basford United, subject to governing body approval.
The 18-year-old signs for the Canaries after a successful trial period with the club, having featured in the Under-18s’ Premier League games against West Ham United and Reading.Lambert has previously been part of the Notts County and Nottingham Forest academy setups and has thrived for Basford this season. Speaking to canaries.co.uk, Lambert said: “I’m very pleased, I’m signing for a good club. I’ve come from non-league side which makes it even better. It’s a big step for me and I want to prove myself to everyone.“I’m very confident [I can make the step up]. I’ve played at senior level before and I’ve played academy football at Nottingham Forest and Notts County but this is a step up to category one football so I’m pleased to be here.“I’ve seen Max Aarons has made the step to the first-team and some other players have so that was a big reason in joining.“I’ve played a couple of game for the Under-18s. Fitness-wise I’m not quite there yet but I found it alright.“All my teammates are nice and they’ve welcomed me in well. I’m living with three other lads and they’ve been great.“I’m quite fast and I’ve got good movement. I always like to run in-behind and try and score two/three goals a game.”Head of Recruitment Kieran Scott said: “Kole was brought to my attention when he was playing for Basford United, a club in the Nottingham area.“Basford are a club that gives lads from the area a second chance. They were very accommodating when we approached them, and we thank them for allowing Kole to come and spend some time with us here before signing."

Re: More new players

But why has Kole dropped back down to non league foitball.? I am looking too much into this ?
Us it sounds like he's a runner with skill . Personally I would like to see a striker who can hold the ball up because at the moment the ball goes up front then it's straight back down again.

GREGORY COMMITS:
Striker turns down Ilkeston’s advances

Striker Richard Gregory has chosen to stay at Bromsgrove Sporting, following a handsome offer from Ilkeston Town. Richard swiftly became a fans favourite as soon as he joined the Rouslers and is the club’s joint second highest scorer on 69 goals.Manager Bren Kelly commented: “With the vision that Ilkeston have, I’m not surprised they have come in for Rich.“They are very much like us when we were at Step Four – big crowds, talented squad and looking to gain promotion.“With Richie’s goal ratio, who wouldn’t be interested? Rich loves our club and we would not be where we are without him so I’m delighted he is staying.“The offer was one that was extremely tempting, in regards to finances, so for him to stay and not have his head turned by money shows how much he cares and wants to play for Sporting.”
