i really can't see what's happening. Fog is getting worse.

Ilkeston No 2 is not Mullarkey. I'm told it's Fuseine Rashid
This game is surely never going to finish. The referee can obviously see both goals from the centre circle but from the clocktower stand I can see no further than the halfway line. It's still 0-0 after 15 minutes

Good save by Stainsby. Ilkeston are doing most of the attacking but I can't see the action at the far goal.

Jamie Walker and Dean Freeman on for Billy Bennett and Fuseine Rachid. Just noticed Mason Lee is on. Apparrently he's back at Ilkeston after playing for Wisbech.

Visibility has improved very slightly now. Uni shot is just wide. They've been close to an equaliser a couple of times. Another Under 17s player Jimmy Lawton replaces Fabian Smith. 1-0 70 minutes

Alex is now limping after taking a knock and is replaced by Tom Marshall. Uni attack ends with a corner. Uni starting to get on top following the several changes made by Ilkeston. 1-0 85 minutes

I've now made a few amendments to the original match updates. I've never tried to watch a game through as much fog as there was tonight. Obviously the referee could see the goalposts at each end from the centre circle so he and the players must have been able to see much better than the spectators. For anyone trying to watch the game; well let's say it was a good job it was free admission. It was impossible to say which individual players did well but it's fair to say the Uni lads gave us a good game. Ilkeston dominated most of the first half attacking the car park end which I couldn't see properly from the Clocktower Stand but the University did better in the second half especially after Ilkeston's several changes and they pushed for an equaliser towards the end. Nice to see the two Under 17's lads, Ben Squires and Jimmy Lawton get game experience with the first team. Unfortunately, Fernando Bell-Toxtle and Alex Marshall both picked up injuries so hope they recover for Saturday's match at Wisbech. Apparently Nottingham University are one of the best University teams in the country and they certainly looked a decent side.
