Home form
With just four home games left it is interesting to look at how Ilkeston's home form has deteriorated over the season so far.
In our first nine home games up to 2nd November 2019, we only lost once and that was an unexpected defeat against Wisbech. Our record for the nine matches was P9, W 4, D 4, L1 GF 16, GA 6, Points 16
Cleethorpes D 0-0
Worksop W 2-1
Belper D 0-0
Spalding D 0-0
Market Drayton W 3-0
Newcastle W 3-1
Wisbech L 1-2
Frickley D 2-2
Loughboro' D W 5-0
Our next six home games produced just one win against Sutton Coldfield. P 6, W 1, D 1, L 4, GF 9, GA 15, Points 4.
Stocksbridge L 2-5
Sutton Coldfield W 2-0
Carlton L 2-4
Stamford L 2-4
Sheffield D 1-1
Glossop L 0-1
So Ilkeston have now gone four home games without a win and on Saturday we face League leaders Leek Town who have won their last 13 league matches. It looks like we need a miracle if we are to avoid stretching our winless home sequence to five.

I am dredding this sat coz of our poor and Leeks cracking form . Doesn't look good in trying get three points guys. Got to give their credit they are the best team . This is going to be a mammoth game to try and get a win ..

The downturn in results started after the Sheffield game before Carruthers took over.
In the seven matches before Carruthers became manager, we won 1, drawn 2 and lost 4.
Bedworth Utd (A) lost 1-3 FA Trophy
Frickley (H) drew 2-2
Loughborough (H) won 5-0
New Mills (H) lost 1-2 DSC
Lincoln Utd (A) drew 2-2
Buxton (A) lost 0-3 League Cup

The down turn started when Fenton came into the team.

In reply to Alex's request for results following Kieran Fenton's arrival :
Kieran Fenton's first game was against Loughborough Dynamo which we won 5-0. He has been an ever present since then. Fenton came in as Lavell White left. Results in the games Fenton has played are: Played 17, Won 3, Drawn 3, Lost 11.
But Jamie Walker also played his first game against Loughborough Dynamo and played in the same matches as Fenton before returning to Basford and missing our last two matches.
So if you're suggesting that the downturn in results happened following Fenton's arrival, it must also be said that it happened during Jamie Walkers loan period.
