Ben Morris was preferred to Danny Gordon and Jak Kenworthy and Anton Brown returned after injury. Rhys Dolan wore the No. 3 shirt while Rory Coleman wore the No. 11 . Mark Shelton had an early chance to put Ilkeston ahead after he got past the Buxton keeper but he couldn't angle the ball into the unprotected goal. Ilkeston defended really well throughout and Durrant was rarely called upon. Ilkeston had far the better chances and deserved their win against the current league leaders. My man of the match was Anthony Dwyer who was a constant threat and got the vital goal. So Ilkeston achieved their first league victory to put themselves into a positive mindset for the trip to Halesowen on Tuesday night.

Good home support from the fans who helped the team cross the line. I sat in the stand and had a great view of Kev constantly rallying the troops at the Clocktower end.
