Some robust challenges going in but Rose booked for a innocuous challenge!

Re: Ilkeston V Barwell

This was a hard fought three points for Ilkeston. Barwell adopted a much more robust approach than they did in our last meeting in the FACup. However we matched them and had the better chances. In the first there were few shots on target but in the second half Ilkeston gradually got on top. Mark Shelton's winner was an exquisite lob which seemed to surprise everyone including the home crowd. This capped another excellent performance by Mark. Foster and Baker were solid at the back and Barwell rarely looked like scoring. The only disappointing feature was the 242 crowd. Possibly the lowest league crowd since the formation of Ilkeston FC. where they all watching England? But three valuable points which lift Ilkeston to fourth from bottom with games in hand over their rivals. If only we could get the electric sorted out!
