    Ilkeston Town Ladies v Notts County : NMG : Sunday 27th Sep ko 2pm

    Don't forget the Ilkeston Ladies entertain Notts County this afternoon in the start of their League campaign at the NMG kick off 2pm.  Free entry and refreshments available.

    Match Summary :

    Ilkeston Town Ladies  0  Notts County  3
    Notts County proved too good for Ilkeston in the opening game of the season. Ilkeston started well and up until the Notts goal on 16 minutes they were matching their opponents. However, once ahead County assumed  control and a  second goal quickly followed. Ilkeston did well to regroup and see out the rest of the first half, enabling them to stay in the game. After the restart Ilkeston's opportunities were few against a well drilled Notts defence and when they did get near goal, the competent Notts keeper didn't look like conceding. By comparison County created several chances and always looked capable of adding to their score. They finally got the goal that put the result beyond doubt after 79 minutes.
