Re: Ilkeston v Leek - Tue 3rd Nov '20 - Live Updates

For me we have one too many attacking players in the side

We play some great stuff. But can’t defend properly. Couple were carrying knocks last night but we need to adopt a more safety first approach. We’re miles too easy to play through

Third goal last night demonstrates my point. There are 15 minutes to go. It’s only 2 1. Their right sided attacker is able to receive the ball on 40 yards of space and make 30 yards unchallenged then pick his pass

We were dead at that stage. Just bide your time then the equaliser may come. But lack of positional discipline cost us again. Opposition look like scoring every time they come forward and unless we change that we will achieve nothing

All in all it’s been a decent start to the season but we have much work to do and if we keep doing what we’re currently doing we won’t beat any of the top sides as we give them too many chances
