PMG header from a corner hits the post. Goal - Ilkeston get one back. Wonderful shot by Ellis White curls just inside the post. 82 minutes Ilkeston 2 PMG 4.
Couple of minutes later there was a big falling out involving players of both sides. Ref does well to eventually calm everyone down. I didn't see what started it off.

Match Report
Wed 16 December 2020 - SCL Youth Development League
Ilkeston Town Academy 2 PMG Elite 4
Ilkeston suffered a home defeat in torrential rain against a strong PMG Elite despite scoring first. Oli Waite created the opening goal with a good run down the right ending with his cross being powered home by Ellis White on 10 minutes. This came after a strong start by the visitors. A fine save by the PMG keeper denied Mitchell Tait putting Ilkeston two up. At the other end Ilkeston keeper Cieran Broadbent did well to nick the ball off the toe of a PMG forward as the away side pressed hard and on 22 minutes the threatened equaliser came. Ilkeston hit back with some surging runs by Calrick Dunkley but PMG finished the half on top with the scores level.
The second half started evenly with defences on top. With an hour gone PMG were lucky not to be reduced to ten players when one of their players was guilty of a high footed challenge. The visitors coach wisely substituted him immediately. A couple of minutes later PMG were ahead. Ilkeston second half keeper Shane White parried the original shot but a PMG forward was there to score from close range. On 68 minutes it was 3-1 after a cracking move and finish. Out of frustration, Ilkeston’s Mohammed Sillah was guilty of a kick out at a PMG player and was lucky to only get a ticking off by the referee. From the ensuing free kick PMG scored a fourth on 71 minutes. They nearly added a fifth when a header from a corner hit the post but Ilkeston had the final say and what a goal. It was a wonderful effort from distance by Ellis White that curled perfectly inside the post. Both teams gave 100% commitment and played some good football in difficult conditions.
