    This sounds like a good idea

    . 

    The 2021/22 Eastern Counties League season will begin on Saturday 31 July. “In view of the possibility of Covid disruptions it is planned to front load the season with fixtures, scheduling half of them before November. League Cups won’t commence before January at the earliest.”

    It does make sense but harder to do when teams are planning pre seasons based on aa late August start to the league programme. Anyway Boris says he would rather see bodies piling up than see another lockdown. Or did Dominic say it. However it will be all OK because he will just ask Carrie!
