I have a feeling that Dec was planning to go overseas and had told Deaks of his plans. That may be why Deaks tried other players in his position. Declan's arrival was unheralded but he leaves as a massive fan favourite.

We can confirm that Declan Eratt-Thompson has left the club.
Declan arrived at the Microlise New Manor Ground in August 2022 and made 113 appearances for the Robins across three seasons. We would like to thank Declan for his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future.

Dec has been a great player for us ..... plus has been great player to talk to
