Matlock Town are pleased to announce the signing of versatile Declan Eratt-Thompson, formerly of Ilkeston Town. Declan, who is comfortable in either the midfield or defence, counts Stocksbridge PS and Sheffield Wednesday amongst his former clubs. He would join Ilkeston Town in August 2022 and made 113 appearances for the Robins across three seasons. Welcome to the Gladiators

A lot of supporters are saying he was one of our best players : Why did we let him go?
I think it was a case of Declan wanted to leave.
Whereas supporters stay with their team for all time, players move to advance their earnings.
I think Declan had told Deaks that he planned to go abroad
