With over a dozen second half substitutions the game lost its competitive edge after both sides decided to give every one a run out. It was a fairly even game but Carlton created more chances and therefore probably deserved their win. Luke Foster had a solid game in defence before being replaced. Trialist Anthony Dwyer gave a good account of himself up front. It was Matt Baker who put Ilkeston ahead. Josh Rae and Kyle Stovell scored Carlton's goals, both cracking shots.
