Re: Carlton v Ilkeston : Live Updates tonight

Shot by Carlton's Topliss saved well by Durrant on 12 minutes. Good run, turn and cross by Hearn nearly creates chance but Carlton in the ascendancy. Another Carlton header this time goes over. 20 minutes gone, no score.

Re: Carlton v Ilkeston : Live Updates tonight

Carlton find the net but it's offside.  It's fairly even but Ilkeston haven't made a decent chance yet. Hearn just wide with best chance so far. 30 minutes still no goals.

Re: Carlton v Ilkeston : Live Updates tonight

Good break by Ilkeston ends with Rose just wide with shot. Header from Hearn hits bar. Brilliant save by Durrant from goal bound header on 39 minutes. Carlton then rattle the crossbar.

Goal for Ilkeston just before half time. Couldn't see who scored as it was opposite end of ground.

Re: Carlton v Ilkeston : Live Updates tonight

Carlton will be disappointed to be behind .  Hearn header nearly makes it two as half time whistle goes. It's Carlton 0 Ilkeston 1.

Re: Carlton v Ilkeston : Live Updates tonight

Second half underway. Straight away Ilkeston almost get a goal from a David Jones header. Then a chance for Shelton but his shot is too high. Jones has replaced Hearn.

55 minutes gone still 1-1. Play broken up by several Carlton substitutions. Dwyer and Jones lively for Ilkeston.

Re: Carlton v Ilkeston : Live Updates tonight

Great cross by Shelton just evades Ilkeston's onrushing forwards on 68 minutes. Dwyer replaced by Ben Morris. Jones is Ilkeston's main threat. Thornberry on for Coleman. Curler from Gordon goes wide after good work by Morris and Goddard. 75 minutes still 1-1.

Re: Carlton v Ilkeston : Live Updates tonight

With over a dozen second half substitutions the game lost its competitive edge after both sides decided to give every one a run out. It was a fairly even game but Carlton created more chances and therefore probably deserved their win. Luke Foster had a solid game in defence before being replaced. Trialist Anthony Dwyer gave a good account of himself up front. It was Matt Baker who put Ilkeston ahead. Josh Rae and Kyle Stovell scored Carlton's goals, both cracking shots.
